1. Pregnancy Counselling Skills course
Our Pregnancy Counselling Skills course is a well-established 60 hour course recognised by Open Awards at Levels 2 & 3 and by the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions as a pastoral care with counselling skills course.
The course aims to explore the basic counselling skills and information areas needed to support people facing pregnancy, abortion and decision-making. Its purpose is to provide a foundation for people working, or seeking to work, in pregnancy centres, community-based church projects and other related areas. The course is accompanied by a training manual which will be a valuable resource for individuals, churches and centres.
2. Post-abortion and Child loss course
Our Post-Abortion and Child Loss Facilitator course is a well-established 60-hour course recognised by Open Awards at Levels 2 & 3 and by the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions as a pastoral care with counselling skills course.
The course is designed to equip those wanting to facilitate image's Step by Step Programme with clients and is primarily for pregnancy centre workers and others in relevant pastoral or professional roles. The Step by Step programme is for use with clients following abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, child loss or child separation, where the loss was at least 3-6 months ago. The training takes trainees on their own journey through the ten steps of the Step by Step Programme. Please note that in order to do this course, you must first have completed our Pregnancy Counselling Skills course or the equivalent.
