BMA votes to decriminalise abortion

At the British Medical Association's annual meeting in Bournemouth in July 2017, around two-thirds of the 500 attendees voted in favour of a motion calling for the decriminalisation of abortion for any reason up to 28 weeks. This will now be the formal stance of the BMA when the association lobbies ministers for a change in the law. Read more …….

Nigerian founder of the pro-life group 'Culture of Life Africa' Obianuju Ekeocha has responded to the recent Family Planning Summit in London by saying that western countries are acting as “old colonial masters” with a spirit of “cultural supremacy” as they push to impose abortion on African nations against their will.  Read more …….


Baby Charlie Gard dies after parents' lengthy court battle.

Charlie Gard was born in London on 4th August 2016, apparently healthy but at eight weeks he started to lose weight and strength. In mid-October Charlie was taken to the Great Ormond Street Hospital where he was placed on a ventilator to assist his breathing

Language development may start in the womb

A new study from the University of Kansas suggests that unborn babies may be able to differentiate between languages. Associate professor of linguistics and leader of the study Utako Minai said "These results suggest that language development may indeed start in utero"  Read more …….


50 years of the Abortion Act
