“Don’t Screen Us Out” say their concerns are not being considered

Campaigners from the Don’t Screen Us Out campaign have been voicing their concerns over the lack of government response to their campaign, saying their concerns have been “constantly ignored.”@  The campaign seeks to delay the introduction of a non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) until ethical concerns have been reviewed thoroughly and it is clear that the test “complies with human rights obligations.”  Read more …….

Northern Irish man challenges Do Not Resuscitate Order

The BBC have reported the case of a man from County Antrim who was unaware a ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ (DNR) order had been placed on his medical notes upon admission to hospital. Paralysed from the waist down as a result of secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, 48 year old Neill Birnie has said he “feels his human rights have been violated.”  Read more …….

National Day of Prayer About Abortion

A National Day of Prayer about abortion is held each year on 27th October, the anniversary of the passing of the Abortion Act. On the day, can you organise a joint prayer meeting in your town? Can you arrange to pray with your church? Can you pray with your home group or youth group? Can you arrange to pray with friends?  Will you pray at home?  Resources will be available from the beginning of October on the image website

Alec Motyer 1924-2016

The well-known author and Bible expositor, Alec Motyer, passed away during the early hours of 26th August. He was a true friend to, and prayer warrior for image and will be greatly missed. He now rejoices in the Lord’s presence.  Alec made occasional contributions to image news and two have been reproduced:
